About me
I am Kirsty Forsyth a self taught ceramic artist and the face behind KlayWorks.
Having studied Graphic Design at Duncan of Jordanstone and later in my career, transitioning to User Experience Design, I have spent many years behind a computer screen. Everything changed when I rediscovered the joy of working with my hands through a local ceramics course.
My work combines a love of making with a distinct aesthetic: bold, brutalist forms inspired by Scotland’s industrial heritage, refined with the clean precision of Swiss Modernist design and typography, and balanced by the quiet elegance of Japanese design culture.
Whether you’d like to learn the art of ceramics yourself, commission a unique, handcrafted piece, or produce specific tableware, I bring both creativity and design sensibility to every project and love to work with people who value design, craft, and individuality.
